Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence is becoming more and more frequent in our generation with many films and games showing the rise of robotics and other machineries. Humans have recently started to ask silly questions such as will humans really replace robots?? Recent researchers have commented that they think humans and robots are becoming more and more intimate in many ways. And humans have started to view robotics in a whole new different way.
Artificial intelligence is the intelligence of machines and robots and the branch of computer science that aims to create it. AI textbooks define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents"[1] where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of success -wikipedia

Digital Voices

During the industrialised revelation that took place in the mid 1970’s, many changes and developments started to occur in the world of technology and media for instance printing cooperation’s were made available to us at that time and then came the 1980’s and 90’s which opened allot of doors regarding the world of media technology and the correspondence it has with communication. On the matter of communication during the 90’[s era we were exposed to the rise of the internet and the World Wide Web in which people use to share information and receive information. Society today has taken a much modern approach when using the internet as more than a dozen of us nowadays mainly use the internet as a form of communication. All communications that take place using electronic devices such as the internet and web all come under the category of and are considered as media communication, as it is the use of media and conversation coming together as one.
Most technologies described as "new media" are digital, often having characteristics of being manipulated, networkable, dense, compressible, and interactive.[1] Some examples may be the Internet, websites, computer multimedia, video games, CD-ROMS, and DVDs. New media does not include television programs, feature films, magazines, books, or paper-based publications – unless they contain technologies that enable digital interactivity. – Wikipedia
Thanks to modern day media and the discovery of internet the general public are now able to share and televise their voices digitally and freely over the net. These voice shared is a way in which they can share their views on currently revolving topics and

The digital mind

The close relationship between technology and humans is ever growing and is circulating tremendously, now more than ever the bond between the two is becoming noticeably intimate with more than a dozen of us acknowledging digital media and the effects it has on the human body.
This is mainly based on the body and to be precise the human mindset as our concepts of technology are beginning to change due to the vast amounts of new technologies being brought forward by large corporations. Along with how we feel and think about old existing and latest technological changes taking place in the world. The human mind is a very powerful appendage and as human beings it is a necessity for us to use our brain/minds to think. We often use our minds to stimulate information to adapt to certain societies and cultures most of all we use it to think particularly thinking is a huge aspect of the human body.

Digital Misunderstanding

In this blog I will be going into detail about the captivating concepts of the media and the history of the World Wide Web, I will also elaborate on the mythologies of early digital media an all characteristics surrounding it.
As we are all aware the internet plays a huge role in the society we live in today as it distributes out significant and relevant information.  Many misunderstandings have come from the internet most of which all come from cultural assumptions and stereotypes. There are numerous cultural sectors that were very important and also transformed our cultural perception of the internet.
First and foremost the internet has been around for many years and started with the expansion electronic computers during the late 1950s. As a result of the internet creative thinking was brought to light by people in the early 1960s who witnessed great potential value in allowing computers to share information on research along with the development in immense scientific and military fields.
The main intention of the internet was so that was it can provide a beneficial communications network that would work even if some of the other major sites weren’t working. If one of the connection routes weren’t processing routers would traffic around the local area to find alternatives. Near the beginning internet was primarily used by computer specialist, engineers, scientist, and even librarians, no home office or computers were available in those days, and anyone who had access to it. Computer specialist had to learn this very complex system. Even though the number of websites on the internet were very miniature, it was quite easy to keep a record of the resources of particular interest. But for more and more institution of higher education and libraries the internet became harder to track.

THE DIGITAL BODY

Recent studies have shown that the correlation between humans and digital technology is on the rise, within more than a few well-off countries consuming the latest devices and gadgets that help generate human interface and also keep it current. The interaction between the human body and digital technology is overgrowing and is also more widespread than we thought and is put to use in our everyday conduct. this contact can occur at any time , when you’re on the go when you’re at home even when you’re in a effective environment, I think it’s fair to say that more than a few of us engage in basic human interface on a daily basis.
A human interface device is a process that allows humans to interact with an electronic information system with the main intention of either contributing data or give the amount produced. The most common human interface devices include most of the following keyboards, mice, computer speakers, webcams and headsets. All computing appliance that are provided in an interface between the user and the pc machinery are all identified as human interface devices.

Self presentation using the internet

Using different forms of media and technology to generate a profile of yourself is highly common within our generation, individuals use sites such as face book, MySpace, bebo etc to develope a clear outlook of how they wish to be portrayed and also viewed upon by others. The way in which we wish to communicate changes immensely depending on whom we are talking to, we often moderate our language when engaging in different forms of  media related social interactions for instance as individuals we choose to communicate differently when talking with various types of people for instance the way in which we talk to our parents is different than the way we talk to our friends and the way we talk to our friends is extremely different then the way you conversation with your partner even when sending out emails you would choose to write formally if it is a important email or informally if you are writing to a close friend on a social basis.
Human beings are today being socially categorised through social networking sites, these sites paint very distinct pictures of particular groups of individuals and is the main cause of them being socially recognized. The affiliation between the internet and stereotypical images given out is one of an ongoing thing and has been around for many years. The internet is a form of because of its very fast way to receive and deliver information from all over the globe. It’s also known for collecting data and researched studies and statistics. As the internet is a very widely used interconnected system in many ways it tends to generate the stereotypes in people’s minds and make them inferior.
There are many representations of stereotypes shown to us through a variety of altered digital and social media. These characteristic that are publicized through video games and other forms of what we call social media, social media experiences the implication of interactions situating amongst individuals in which they construct , distribute, exchange, and comment about significant and insignificant topics. As a whole social media allows people of different demographical backgrounds to come together and engage and interact in fundamental communities and networks amongst themselves.
As the digital and media world continue to surround us with information and changes to society we are also obliged to look at certain identities and personalities visually specified to us by the mass media with the clear intentions of creating a somewhat vivid image in our minds of how they wish us to view those currently in the public eye. These identities and illustrations of people that are seemingly demoralized have the power to influence and even put pressure on our judgements based on that particular political party or individual. With regards to politics and self-presentation it’s fair to say that if viewers dislike the attitude of the main leader or representative they will base some of their judgement on that but mostly the medias interpretations of their political ideas expressed .

In The Direction Of Ubiquity

On the subject matter of technology we as the general public acknowledge that residents who live in the substantially wealthier parts of the world are more exposed to arrange of new digital technology. Although the wealthier parts are exploited to these latest findings of digital media we also are exposed to different forms of new technology and digital media.
In the world we live in today more and more things that affect our daily lives is being controlled by technology. As companies create new machineries to keep track of data and networking for instance when it comes to the financial side of things technology is often used when dealing with a chip and pin reader this is a somewhat latest invention and has been around for a couple of years. Although gadgets like this are mostly available to those who live in well off and developed.
In this day in age technology is circulating extremely and is also becoming a big part of society. with very large successful cooperation’s like apple, Microsoft, Sony etc competing it with each other in order to create new devices that will be highly successful within the market and also grab the attention of consumers. With all this said most of us regenerate technology within the comfort of our own home, for instance Wi-Fi is common amongst most households across the country as it is a source that allows you to use the internet without actually needing to plug in wires. This is just one of many household devices that is a form of technology other gadgets could be ones such as interactive games, TV, iPad, computers.
We live in a technological period of time were everything we do and engage in over the net is being watched by surveillances. This revelation makes you slightly wonder if we actually have any privacy. For instance social networking site ‘Facebook’ is used by billions of people around the globe and is a hugely successful in the market. However even though facebook might have a number of rules and set of laws on the subject of what you are allowed to post.

Changes In The Media

Ever since it can be remembered both media and technology form a close mutual bond, this is because they can both relate to each other one way or another. In recent years media and technology have equally started to change around several societies. Some might have positive views on these changes whilst others might argue otherwise. In relation to media change many devices have changed through generations with the latest smart phones brought to our attention such as the iphone which comes fully geared with a bunch of fascinating apps it also has a built in camera and as well as that it takes videos as do most other smart phones. In this technological world we are brought up in we are exposed to a variety of different media changes that are occurring around us seeing that modern day technology has developed over the current years as it has made it easier for people to contact the media in many altered traditions, such as through the television, by reading newspapers and by using the web.

Technology Through My Eyes

Even though different people might have mixed views and opinions regarding the world of technology I think that it’s fair to say that technology plays a major part in everyone’s day to day lives. It has transformed  the way people interact and keep in touch with each other using various forms of technology such as social networking, mobile phones, ipads, skype (web cam) etc.  In the society we live in today technology is very profound and plays a big role in the world of media and science
Looking at it from my prospective I would say that technology is the pure submission of skill, and is a very vital tool as it controls everything you do.  Technology is used to better your ability and also help you excel within the professional working world in addition to that it can be of assistance regardless of whether you are on the road at home, work or school it’s always at reach for example many institute’s use technology on a daily basis whilst teaching, they use gadgets such as interactive white boards, projectors and computers. At home and even within the professional world a lot of sectaries and business administrators send heaps of emails everyday to associates these are sent through several technological devices such as smart phones ipad’s and computers. One of the main objectives of technology is to better the lives of humans and assist them in collecting Data/information/sources/research and continue to enhance their knowledge and their capability.
Science media and technology have a close relationship and when all three are combined they have they tend to bond quite well together. Google which is one of the most popular American cooperation’s and is known for offering internet related services, recently created a new technical device which from their point of view is practical and could be highly beneficial. The device that they created is a mini computer that you strap on to your glasses and commute with, it has the same ability as a computer/laptop and phone put in one as some might argue and say that this creation is somewhat dehumanizing however from my outlook I would just say that I have a mixed opinion on this matter on side I feel that it’s good for Google to create a unique gadget that has never been seen before and yes it might be extremely useful when you’re on the go but however I strongly believe that Google is just trying to sell a product that is pointless just to make a profit.

Lets Talk Digital

As a university student studying journalism it would be in my best interest to enhance my knowledge on the topic by exploring different forms and areas of journalism. One of these being digital culture, digital culture is a modern form of journalism that crucially examines both the social and cultural of new digital media technologies. I chose to study digital cultures because it gives me a clear insight into technology and ways of bring together information using technology and other forms of the media mainly which is internet based.
Amongst other things a vital part of digital culture which students in particular come across now and again is academic blogging. Whilst studying media in college I came across many difficulties and things that challenged my ability one of which happens to be the art of internet blogging when I started off setting up my blog and writing my first post I found it all to be a bit of a blur and rather confusing but as time passed I got used to it and found it be quite an easy process. Internet blogging enables you to share assembled information with a clear elaboration on each topic as well as expressing your own opinion on the area under discussion. And if you choose to blog for an academic purpose you would often be asked to reference your work referencing is important as it shows that you have quoted or taken information from a reliable source and that you have not plagiarised your work.
People choose to blog for a number of different reasons whether it is for social usage in which case they use it to connect with friends and share things that are currently relevant or for academic usage often used to post essays and videos. Where education is concerned academic blogging is highly relevant and is a modern form of technology that helps you distribute information that people can read so in some ways it is similar to writing articles and reviews which are later published online for others to read.
